DensityAI, Inc. seeks an LLVM backend engineer to own backend development for our custom accelerator ISA, covering instruction selection, register allocation, scheduling, and linker support.

You will collaborate with chip-design and software teams from first silicon through scale-out in Mountain View, California. The role demands 5+ years of compiler engineering, hands-on LLVM target development, strong ISA design knowledge, and the ability to diagnose regressions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of compiler engineering experience with hands-on LLVM target development.
• Strong understanding of computer architecture and ISA design.
• Ability to debug correctness and performance regressions across the full compilation flow.

Responsibilities

• Own LLVM backend development for our custom accelerator ISA — instruction selection, register allocation, scheduling, and linker support across scalar, vector, and floating-point pipelines.
• Use and develop AI-assisted tool flows to accelerate compiler development and performance tuning.
