Job summary

Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay is seeking a Lifestyle and Wellness Coordinator for Opus Select, a premier 62+ community in Virginia Beach. You will plan and execute lifestyle, wellness, aquatics, and hospitality programs and collaborate with Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay to expand offerings.

The role manages aquatics operations, coordinates breakfast service, ensures safety and compliance, and supports resident onboarding with engaging activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field, or 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Current CPR certification and ability to obtain City of Virginia Beach pool certifications.
• Experience developing and leading fitness programming for geriatric populations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive monthly calendar of lifestyle, wellness, social, cultural, educational, and recreational programs.
• Coordinate group fitness classes, wellness workshops, excursions, and enrichment activities.
• Oversee the aquatics program, pool certifications, and vendor coordination to ensure safe operations.
• Budget, procure, and manage expenses for breakfast program and participant services.
• Foster resident engagement and cross-department collaboration to deliver high-quality experiences.
