Job summary

The Aspenwood Company in Plano, TX is seeking a full-time Sous Chef for Village on the Park Plano, an Assisted Living with Memory Care senior community. You will lead the kitchen, develop menus, and prepare high-quality meals for residents.

The role requires 1+ year as a Sous Chef (or 3–5 years cooking), a High School Diploma or GED, and strong leadership and culinary skills. Pay is $22.00–$24.00 per hour with a 5 days on/2 days off schedule. Holidays and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of proven cooking experience or 1+ year as a Sous Chef.
• Ability to follow sanitation procedures and lead a kitchen team.
• Experience creating diverse menus and training kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Executive Chef or Dining Director to create diverse menus.
• Develop new dishes for residents and ensure high-quality presentation.
• Schedule and organize the kitchen for efficient operations.
• Train staff to achieve nutritional outcomes and resident enjoyment.
• Maintain sanitation and proper storage of all food items.
• Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.
