Job summary

HumanGood in California is seeking a Waitstaff/Server to support dining services for residents and guests in a senior living setting. This on-call role focuses on greeting, taking orders, serving meals, and maintaining quality service with a gracious demeanor.

Typical shifts include evenings and weekends, with flexible holidays; prior food service experience is preferred, and ServSafe certification is a plus. You will collaborate with dining room staff and follow safety and privacy standards.

Qualifications

• Prior food service, fast food or restaurant experience.
• Experience working with seniors preferred.
• Food Handler’s or ServSafe certification preferred.
• Availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Teens welcome to apply, local regulations may apply.

Responsibilities

• Greets residents and guests promptly at their table.
• Records accurate food and beverage orders and inputs into POS.
• Explains preparation methods and ingredients to guests.
• Suggests daily specials and makes recommendations.
• Attends pre-shift briefings and notes allergen information.
• Handles service trays and maintains proper table setup.
• Maintains sanitation and safety throughout service.
• Performs bussing, runner and catering duties as needed.
• Replenishes beverages and assists with tray line service.
• Manages guest concerns professionally and escalates when needed.
