Job summary

New Perspective Senior Living, LLC is seeking a friendly Server to provide attentive dining service for residents and guests in a senior living community. You will handle orders, assist with meal service, and help with setup and cleanup to ensure a pleasant dining atmosphere.

You will engage residents respectfully, demonstrate menu knowledge, and work with the team to maintain safety, cleanliness, and proper food handling. This role supports high standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in restaurant, dining hospitality and/or full-service senior living preferred.
• A positive attitude and an ability to work well under pressure.
• Able to perform high quality work while unsupervised.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver orders in a timely fashion.

Responsibilities

• Engage with the residents in a friendly manner with service, friendliness, and a can-do attitude
• Demonstrate knowledge of the menu with the ability to make suggestions
• Take food and drink orders from residents with accuracy
• Deliver food in a timely basis
• Ensure residents are enjoying their meals and act swiftly to correct any problems
• Collect payment from residents and guests when necessary
• Enter orders into the POS system for transmittal to the kitchen team
• Maintain impeccable personal grooming and hygiene standards
• Perform dining room checklists to ensure readiness, cleanliness, safety, and department of health compliance
• Perform and ensure dining room set-up and re-set of tables is in accordance with dining room procedures
• Be knowledgeable of the specialty diet needs of residents and know where to get such information
• Practice safe food handling at all times
• Help food preparation team when necessary
