Job summary

Discovery Village Tallahassee is seeking a Server to create a warm, welcoming dining experience for residents and guests. You will provide friendly, timely meal service while maintaining a clean, organized dining environment in a full-time role.

Responsibilities include taking orders, ensuring satisfaction, keeping menu knowledge, and assisting with daily dining operations. Physical ability to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, and work weekends is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous dining or hospitality experience preferred.
• Enjoys working with seniors and providing excellent customer service.
• Professional interaction with residents, guests, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Take meal and beverage orders and serve food in a friendly, professional, and timely manner.
• Ensure residents and guests are satisfied with their meals and dining experience.
• Maintain knowledge of daily specials, menus, and food items to assist residents with selections.
• Set up, maintain, and clean dining room tables, side stations, and surrounding areas.
• Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
• Practice proper food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including completing assigned checklists.
• Support orientation and training of new servers as needed.
• Maintain high standards of appearance, cleanliness, and hospitality.
• Assist with dining room organization, flow, and supply placement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
