Job summary

Lifespace Communities is hiring a Safety and Security Officer for Newcastle Place in Mequon, WI. The role focuses on maintaining a secure environment, conducting drills, and keeping accurate safety logs.

You will manage entry points, assist residents and guests, and perform light maintenance as required. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and 2–3 years of applicable experience, plus a valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two to three years applicable experience preferred.
• A state issued driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Make scheduled rounds inside and outside of the building to maintain a secure environment.
• Schedule and ensure fire and disaster drills are conducted for each shift with logs kept.
• Maintain security records, safety inspections, equipment repairs, and service requests; ensure life safety systems are functional.
• Respond to fire alarms and emergencies and notify appropriate team members.
• Maintain daily guard reports with detailed explanations for cross-shift communication.
• Control entry/exit of guests, team members, residents, and vendors with proper identification.
• Perform light maintenance and assist with resident/employee transport as needed.
• Deliver packages and assist with luggage; greet residents and guests at entrances.
