Job summary

Prairie Vista Village in Altoona, IA is seeking a dedicated RN to provide comprehensive nursing care to residents across levels of care. The RN collaborates with families, physicians, and the care team to ensure safety, comfort, and quality of life.

Shifts include 2pm-10:30pm with full-time and part-time options; generous benefits such as health/dental/vision, 401(k) with match, PTO, holiday pay, EAP, tuition assistance, and career development.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program and maintain state licensure.
• Prefer 1-2 years of nursing experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility.
• Must possess current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care in accordance with Federal, State, and Company requirements based on resident acuity.
• Make daily rounds to assess resident condition and comfort.
• Follow safety policies to protect residents and ensure safety.
• Follow infection control guidelines and protect residents from injury and infection.
• Communicate with physicians and ensure follow-through with hand-offs to oncoming shift.
• Oversee direct care staff and ensure tasks are completed as assigned.
