Charles E. Smith Life Communities (CESLC) is seeking a Recreation Activities Assistant to support the Activity Team in implementing activities that meet residents’ mental, social and emotional needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating activity programs.
• Transport residents to and from activities.
• Observe attendance, mood, and involvement to evaluate progress.
• Provide documentation on residents’ participation in activities and groups.
• Communicate with residents and families about activity programs.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure activities run smoothly.
• Collaborate with Expressive Therapist, Nursing staff and team members on progress.
