Job summary

Peerstar is Pennsylvania's largest and most established peer support provider, operating exclusively in the peer support space since 2008. We employ Certified Peer Specialists and Certified Recovery Specialists who receive specialized training to support others on their recovery journey.

Peerstar seeks a Certified Peer Support Supervisor to oversee CPS in senior living settings, ensuring quality services and recovery-oriented activities in home and community-based environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field and 2–4 years of mental health direct care experience, with CPS supervisory training completion within 6 months.
• Associate’s degree in related field and 3 years of mental health direct care experience, with CPS supervisory training completion within 6 months.
• High school diploma and 4 years of mental health direct care experience, with CPS supervisory training completion within 6 months; CPS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekly supervision meetings with certified peer specialists.
• Monitor and review peer specialists’ documentation.
• Ensure adherence to the 10 fundamental elements and guiding principles of mental health recovery.
• Monitor peer specialists’ interactions and interventions with peers to ensure that service plans address current needs and quality care.
• Provide consistent feedback, guidance and support to peer specialists and assigned peers.
• Educate and work with peer specialists on identifying and utilizing appropriate community agencies/resources with peers.
• Run daily reports to monitor and proactively address service delivery.
• Assign peer specialists to peers based on availability, peer needs, training, etc.
• Schedule, monitor and oversee initial 6-hour field supervision completion for new peer specialists.
• Oversee/assist in completing MCO critical incident reports when necessary.
• Complete high-risk reviews and perform any necessary follow-up.
