Job summary

Better Living is seeking an Operations Specialist to provide interim leadership across communities during vacancies, transitions, onboarding, and training periods. This traveling role assesses needs, sets priorities, supports teams, and drives measurable progress with flexibility and urgency.

The position reports to the CEO, travels frequently, and requires the ability to quickly enter communities, establish plans, monitor results, and hand off to permanent leadership when ready.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in senior living, healthcare, or operations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across levels.
• Ability to manage multiple operational priorities and hold others accountable.
• Willingness to travel frequently between communities.
• Ability to learn and use diverse corporate systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide interim coverage during Executive Director or other community leadership vacancies.
• Assume day-to-day responsibility for the assigned community within the authority for the assignment.
• Maintain consistent communication with Corporate Director of Operations and other leaders.
• Provide stability, direction, visibility, and accountability during leadership transitions.
• Ensure resident, family, and team member concerns are addressed promptly and appropriately.
