Oakmont of Novato is part of Oakmont Management Group, a premier senior living organization. We are seeking a Medication Technician to supervise and assist in the administration of medications and provide direct personal care to residents.

The role supports residents in daily activities, coordinates with pharmacies and physicians, and helps maintain accurate care records while promoting safety and well-being in a compassionate team environment.

Formación

• Must have written and verbal communication skills to interact with residents, families and staff.
• Based on state regulations, completion of training/certification may be required for medication administration.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is a plus.
• Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and provide compassionate care.
• Possess good interpersonal skills to interact with employees, supervisors, physicians and families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests (including TB).
• Vaccination or other health/safety measures may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with residents, pharmacy, and physician.
• Order and track all medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe environment following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and departments.
