Oakmont of Camarillo is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to supervise and assist in administering medications to residents in a registered lifestyle community. You will contribute to personalized care plans, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with pharmacy, physicians, and staff in a supportive team environment.

The role emphasizes safety, adherence to nursing standards, and compassionate interaction with residents and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; LVN certification is a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• State regulation may require training/certification.
• Must pass Criminal Background check and health screenings (TB).
• Experience assisting with medications in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) preferred.
• Ability to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Strong desire to care for the elderly and communicate effectively with staff, physicians, residents, and families.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with resident, pharmacy, and physician.
• Order and track all medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe, secure environment following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with staff and other departments.
