Job summary

The Glen at Scripps Ranch CCRC LLC is seeking a full-time Medication Technician to support residents with medication management and daily living activities. The role emphasizes accurate medication documentation and compassionate resident care.

Responsibilities include administering medications, taking vital signs, assisting with daily living tasks, and participating in emergency response and disaster preparedness. A six-month experience and CPR/AED certification are required.

Qualifications

• Six months experience as a Medication Technician in a Senior Living Community or Pharmacy Technician certification.
• Current First Aid and CPR/AED certification required.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Accepts and documents new medications brought into the community per policy. Safely prepares and assists resident with medication administration. Maintains accurate medication documentation and records. Complete the three (3) checks of the 6 (six) rights.
• Responds to on-site emergencies with the emergency response team.
• Takes vital signs as indicated.
• Provides personal escort services to resident as requested.
• Conducts welfare checks on residents as directed.
• Keeps supervisor informed of residents’ status, significant changes in condition.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living as needed.
• Provides clerical support and receptionist services for department as needed.
• Participate in disaster preparedness and other community wide activities as directed.
