Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Current and valid California CPR certification.
• Must have First Aid Certification.
• Knowledge of California Title 22 requirements.
• Knowledge of gerontology, dementia, and Alzheimer's.
• Ability to assist residents with medications.
• Excellent confidentiality and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with self-administration of medications following state and company guidelines.
• Maintain accurate medication documentation for each resident.
• Report medication problems, refusals, and missed doses.
• Count controlled substances at shift start and end.
• Secure, store, and document medication disposal.
• Coordinate with multiple pharmacies to ensure timely prescriptions.
• Review physician orders and lab requests and follow up with residents.
• Communicate with physicians and families about medication changes.
• Monitor resident weights and hydration/nutrition as required.
• Assist in sample collection and ensure proper care plans are followed.
• Attend training sessions and ensure compliance with care standards.
