Job summary

Charter Senior Living of Winnwood is seeking a compassionate Medication Technician / Med Tech to join our 3rd shift team in a part-time role (every other weekend required). The chosen candidate will administer medications, assist residents with ADLs, and collaborate with nursing and caregiving teams to support health and dignity.

The ideal candidate has current Med Tech certification and prior assisted living or memory care experience, with strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Current Medication Technician / Med Tech certification as required by state regulations.
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior living preferred.
• CNA, caregiver, or direct care experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and medication safety practices.
• Compassionate and resident-focused attitude.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and company policies.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff.
• Maintain accurate medication administration records and documentation.
• Support implementation of individualized resident care plans.
• Promote resident dignity, comfort, and quality of life.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
• Ensure compliance with medication management and safety procedures.
• Support a positive, team-oriented care environment.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and families.
