Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group is seeking a Maintenance Associate to provide daily maintenance in resident apartments and throughout the community. The role requires flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours outdoors in varying weather conditions.

You will assess, assign, and follow up on daily work orders, perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and equipment, and maintain a safe, organized work environment while collaborating with multiple departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous maintenance experience preferred.
• Good handyman skills with plumbing, electrical and carpentry knowledge.
• Familiarity with common tools.
• Familiarity with common repair techniques.
• Good organizational skills and knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily maintenance in resident apartments and throughout the community.
• Assess, assign, and follow up on daily work orders.
• Ensure completed work orders are filed properly.
• Analyze mechanical data regarding heat and water problems.
• Perform daily repairs to common areas throughout the community.
• Assist with pumps, motors, fans, generators, HVAC and electrical systems.
• Provide preventative maintenance on tools, equipment and supplies.
• Maintain inventory and tool control.
• Keep maintenance area neat and clean.
• Report missing tools and any repair needs to the Maintenance Director.
• Report safety hazards immediately.
• Respond to emergencies promptly.
