Job summary

Claiborne Senior Living is seeking a reliable Maintenance Assistant to support daily upkeep, safety, and appearance of the community. You’ll work with maintenance leadership to address resident comfort and safety, taking pride in a hands-on approach and following established procedures.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years in maintenance, with basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years of maintenance or facilities experience.
• Basic knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Dependable and able to work independently.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Willingness to be flexible for occasional emergency response needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine maintenance and repair of building systems.
• Support preventative maintenance programs.
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks.
• Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and equipment.
• Follow safety and OSHA guidelines.
• Assist with emergency repairs as needed.
• Help maintain organized maintenance records.
