Job summary

Saratoga Retirement Community is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to join our upscale 5-star, 94-bed facility in Saratoga, CA. You will plan, coordinate, and implement daily activities to engage residents and promote social, physical, and emotional well-being.

Strong preference for art or recreational therapy background, plus proficiency in MS Office 365. DOE pay range is $22–$26 per hour; full-time position with background checks and pre-employment screenings.

Qualifications

• Background in art therapy or recreational therapy strongly preferred.
• Basic computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Calendar and AI software experience is a bonus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; gerontology/older adults experience preferred.
• One+ year in long-term care, home care, or related field preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, written and verbal, in a multicultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and implements daily activities to meet residents’ recreational needs.
• Provides meaningful stimulation to residents' social, physical, and emotional well‑being.
• Works with Life Enrichment Director, Coordinators, volunteers and staff to support programming.
• Interacts with residents, families, coworkers, managers in a kind, professional, compassionate manner.
