Transforming Age in Oakland is seeking a Life Enrichment Director to design and coordinate activity programming that meets residents' physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs. You'll manage monthly calendars, interview new residents, and oversee end-to-end events on campus.

The role requires 5–7 years of leadership in senior living, a Bachelor's degree, and certification as an Activity Director (or ability to obtain within 90 days).

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Five to seven years of related experience and/or training.
• Three+ years of leadership experience in a Senior Living/Assisted Living setting.
• Certified Activity Director certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire in some communities).
• Proficiency in the MS Office suite.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience creating bulletins, event calendars, and presentations.
• Project management experience preferred.
• Completion of a background check and related screenings.

Responsabilidades

• Designs and coordinates meaningful activity programming tailored to the physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs of residents.
• Maintains a monthly activity calendar reflecting a diverse, age-appropriate schedule including outings and wellness initiatives.
• Interviews new residents to assess interests and preferences and integrates findings into personalized programs.
• Plans, schedules, and conducts lifestyle programs providing physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual opportunities.
• Manages community events from start to finish including setup, facilitation, and teardown.
• Facilitates educational sessions for staff to promote integration of therapeutic activities into daily care.
• Provides guidance to caregivers and Life Enrichment team members for effective programming.
• Creates programs for holidays and special events.
• Distributes community newsletter and maintains resident communications with families as needed.
• Leads wellness program initiatives and engages with residents, guests, and staff with hospitality.
• Promotes Transforming Age’s Mission, Vision, and Values; may require overtime for events.
