Job summary

Baptist Senior Family is seeking a Laundry Attendant to maintain clean clothing and linens for residents in a senior living facility. You will support nursing, dietary, and housekeeping teams, ensuring dignity and comfort for residents through reliable laundry service.

Qualifications

• Must have High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions, correspondence, service manuals, and memos.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and solve routine problems.

Responsibilities

• Collect soiled laundry from various areas throughout the community.
• Sort, wash, dry, and process flat linens, personal laundry, dietary linens, and other facility items according to established procedures.
• Fold and prepare clean laundry for distribution.
• Deliver resident personal laundry to healthcare rooms promptly and accurately.
• Operate commercial laundry equipment safely and effectively.
• Follow all infection control policies and procedures.
• Complete daily laundry room cleaning and sanitation schedules.
• Ensure assigned tasks are completed within established timeframes.
• Cross-train in housekeeping responsibilities to support departmental needs.
• Follow established procedures and safety guidelines.
