Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living, LLC in Arlington, VA seeks a Laundry Attendant to maintain clean, fresh linens and resident clothing for our care community. You will sort, wash, dry and redistribute items, fold and store linens, and inspect for wear, ensuring sanitary laundry rooms and safe chemical handling.

The role requires following infection control, OSHA and Sunrise safety standards, coordinating with staff, and supporting resident requests.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow safety standards and infection control procedures.
• Capable of sorting, washing, drying and folding linens with accuracy.
• Willingness to work as part of a care-focused housekeeping team.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry and redistribute resident clothing and community linens.
• Fold, count and properly store clean linens following procedures.
• Inspect linens for wear and manage damaged items.
• Maintain clean, organized and sanitary laundry rooms.
• Transport linens to appropriate storage areas.
• Monitor supply inventory and communicate needs to supervisor.
• Support resident requests and assist with resident care when needed.
• Follow infection control, OSHA and Sunrise safety standards.
• Store chemicals safely and maintain hazard-free work areas.
• Participate in fire drills, in-services and team meetings.
