Bickford Senior Living is hiring a Cook to support the Kitchen Manager and prepare meals for residents in the Bread Basket dining experience. The role works within a dynamic team and offers benefits based on employment status, with daily pay options and opportunities for PTO.

Responsibilities include menu-following meal prep, timely service, plate presentation, and ensuring regulatory and Bickford standards for cleanliness and food safety are met.

Qualifications

• Clear written and verbal communication with team and residents.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; uses good judgment and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals following Bickford’s menus, processes, and expectations.
• Serve food timely, at correct temperatures, and appropriately plated.
• Ensure kitchen and dining service follow Bickford’s procedures.
• Interact with residents in the Dining Room during meals to enhance their dining experience.
• Wash dishes, pots, and pans according to dishwashing procedures.
• Follow the Kitchen Daily Task Guide.
• Maintain Meal Order Information forms for resident diets/allergies.
• Keep food service records per regulatory requirements and policies.
• Store food safely per policies.
• Complete tasks from Kitchen Rotational Cleaning Schedule.
• Maintain cleanliness to meet regulatory standards and Bickford’s expectations for kitchen and dining areas.
• Ensure Bistro/Beverage Bar is stocked with refreshments.
• Coordinate with Kitchen Manager to support tours and events.
