Job summary

Bickford Senior Living is seeking a Cook to assist the Kitchen Manager in preparing meals for residents in a restaurant-style setting called the Bread Basket. You will ensure meals meet quality and service standards and interact with residents to enhance their dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals following Bickford’s menus, processes and expectations.
• Serve food timely, at correct temperatures, and appropriately plated.
• Ensure Bickford’s process is followed during meal service.
• Interact with residents in the Dining Room during meals to enhance their dining experience.
• Wash dishes, pots and pans following Bickford’s dishwashing procedure.
• Follow the Kitchen Daily Task Guide.
• Use Meal Order Information forms to track diets, allergies and preferences.
• Maintain food service records per regulatory requirements and policies.
• Store food per regulatory requirements and policies.
• Complete tasks from the Kitchen Rotational Cleaning Schedule.
• Maintain kitchen and dining room to meet regulatory requirements and cleanliness standards.
• Ensure Bistro/Beverage Bar is stocked with refreshments.
• Coordinate with Kitchen Manager to provide food/refreshments for tours and events.
