Job summary

Chateau Retirement Communities is seeking a full-time Cook to join our kitchen team in Washington. You will prepare quality meals for residents with supervision, ensure meals meet dietary guidelines, and uphold sanitation and safety standards.

You’ll assist with catering events and help receive and store deliveries under the Culinary Services Director’s guidance. Strong reading skills in English, a valid food handler’s permit, and background check are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; experience with elderly care preferred
• Able to read and comprehend order tickets, menus, and recipes in English
• Valid food handler’s permit
• Background check required

Responsibilities

• Prepare quality meals with minimal supervision
• Follow dietary menus and dietary restrictions as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in all kitchen areas
• Assist in catering and special events when required
• Receive and store incoming orders and supplies as needed
