Job summary

Oakmont Senior Living in Simi Valley is seeking a part-time Housekeeper with AM/PM shifts and weekend availability. The role involves cleaning resident apartments, public areas, and doing resident laundry, while upholding the community’s standards of care and safety.

Ideal candidates have customer service skills, a desire to care for the elderly, and the ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Prefer prior housekeeping or janitorial experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal communication with employees, supervisors, physicians, residents and families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• Vaccination/health screening and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Clean all resident apartments, as directed.
• Clean all public areas, common areas, and work areas as directed.
• Complete community and resident laundry and ironing, as assigned.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
