Job summary

Americare Senior Living is seeking a dependable Housekeeper to maintain a clean, welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors in an assisted living community. This full-time, hourly position offers paid training to become a Level 1 med aide and participates in a company recognized as a Great Place to Work for multiple years.

You will follow cleaning schedules, handle room and common area cleaning, and support safe daily operations while complying with OSHA standards and safety

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, resident-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and follow assigned cleaning schedules
• Perform cleaning assignments in resident rooms and common areas
• Ensure compliance with cleanliness, sanitation, and infection control standards
• Report maintenance and repair needs to the supervisor
• Monitor housekeeping inventory and communicate supply needs
• Assist with plant and flower care as assigned
• Safely handle cleaning chemicals and ensure proper labeling per OSHA standards
• Maintain work carts and equipment in a clean and safe condition
• Attend required in-service training and staff meetings
• Collaborate with other departments to support smooth daily operations
