Job summary

Jaybird Senior Living seeks a dedicated Housekeeper to keep resident apartments, common areas, and dining spaces clean and welcoming. You will support daily living with compassionate, patient care and maintain safety standards throughout the community.

The role emphasizes independent and collaborative work, adherence to HIPAA and confidentiality, and participation in safety initiatives. Prior senior-care exposure is preferred, along with a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with seniors preferred.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekly housekeeping services and additional tasks per Individualized Service Plans.
• Manage inventory of cleaning and laundry supplies and restock as needed.
• Use PPE and cleaning chemicals safely.
• Ensure cleanliness of apartments, common areas, dining spaces and other community areas.
• Identify hazards and report them to management promptly.
• Document maintenance needs and submit work orders when necessary.
• Respond to smoke or fire alarms and emergencies.
• Assist residents, visitors, and team members with phones and information.
• Participate in safety committees and staff meetings.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times.
• Follow OSHA guidelines and state regulations for Assisted Living.
• Complete incident reports as required.
