Job summary

Piper Shores is a Maine nonprofit continuing care retirement community offering Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing. This Environmental Services leadership role supports residents by modeling quality and ensuring department needs are met.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in housekeeping preferred.
• Warm and friendly demeanor with a positive approach to interacting with Seniors
• Ability to stand and move for extended period of time, ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently required.

Responsibilities

• Performs project work and floor care and carpet care duties throughout the facility as assigned.
• Performs general housekeeping duties in apartments, cottages, common areas, assisted living and the health center, such as: vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, and dusting cleared flat surfaces.
• Directs and leads staff during deep cleans to ensure proper cleaning protocols and work is divided fairly and equitably.
• Practices safe work habits to prevent injury to self and others.
• Maintains all equipment and supplies in proper condition.
• Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
