Job summary

Encore Village is seeking a full-time housekeeper to provide clean, sanitary, comfortable environments for residents and guests in Schaumburg, IL. You will operate cleaning equipment and maintain carpets, tile, and wood flooring while following OSHA and State Health Department precautions.

Responsibilities include cleaning residential and common areas, disposing of waste, handling chemicals safely, and assisting with supplies.

Qualifications

• Experience in senior living or long term care preferred.
• Familiar with OSHA safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and clean carpets, tile, wood flooring.
• Clean all areas assigned by department manager following OSHA/State Health Dept precautions.
• Perform housekeeping services to maintain cleanliness and resident/guest satisfaction.
• Maintain sanitary conditions and infection prevention.
• Work in residential, common areas, restrooms, pool, and recreational areas.
• Dispose of trash and waste.
• Handle cleaning chemicals and read MSDS; follow OSHA/EPA regulations.
• Follow procedures for blood/body fluid cleanup per OSHA standards.
• Maintain daily and project schedules; inform manager of changes.
• Assist in maintaining supplies and notify manager when low.
• Communicate with staff and residents.
