Job summary

Atria Senior Living’s Irvine community is hiring a Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe living space for residents and staff. Responsibilities include cleaning apartments and common areas, doing laundry, stocking supplies, and coordinating with maintenance for repairs.

Strong English communication and basic math skills are required, with training provided. The role offers benefits and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Must complete all company training programs.
• Able to operate cleaning equipment listed in duties.
• Able to work various schedules as needed.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills.
• Communicate effectively in English with residents.
• General knowledge of sanitation.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean public areas and residents' apartments, including bathrooms, kitchens, patios, windows, floors, furniture and common areas.
• Perform housekeeping duties: distribute laundered articles, change beds, clean restrooms, sweep, scrub, wax and polish floors, dust, polish metalwork, wash walls and sills.
• Perform laundry: wash/dry, fold/hang, distribute articles, change bed linens.
• Maintain resident laundry areas, mop floors, wash walls and check lint traps.
• Wash windows at reasonable heights.
• Keep utility and storage rooms clean and orderly.
• Disinfect and sanitize equipment and supplies.
• Stock cleaning cart with supplies.
• Empty wastebaskets and transport trash to disposal areas.
• Coordinate with maintenance to keep trash areas clean and report issues.
• Submit maintenance work orders as needed.
• Report resident issues or changes promptly.
• Report unsafe conditions promptly to Supervisor.
• May perform other duties as needed.
