Job summary

StoneBridge Senior Living is seeking a compassionate kitchen aide to prepare and serve nourishing meals that meet residents' daily nutrition and dietary needs. You will assist with dishwashing and cleaning tasks while supporting a warm, family-like environment.

Ideal candidates bring basic nutrition knowledge, good communication, and the ability to follow recipes and safety standards. This role emphasizes respect for residents and safe food-handling practices in a community setting.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in food service at an institutional setting preferred.
• Basic understanding of nutrition and therapeutic diets.
• Excellent interpersonal, organization and communication skills.
• Understanding of person-centered care.
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret varied instructions.
• Working knowledge of professional standards of practice in job situations.

Responsibilities

• Handles and stores all food per facility procedures and safe handling guidelines.
• Assists with food preparation as directed by supervisor.
• Prepares food items according to standardized recipes with safe handling.
• Uses supplies and equipment efficiently to minimize waste.
• Operates institutional food prep and cleaning equipment and follows cleaning schedules.
• Assists with setting up food tray lines or buffet dining.
• Assembles meals and resident trays per procedures.
