Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee building interiors and exteriors, supervise maintenance and housekeeping staff, and ensure a safe, clean environment for residents and team members.

The role requires coordinating work orders via TELS, maintaining grounds, preparing apartments for move-ins, training staff, and responding to emergencies. Local travel and driving a community vehicle are expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of building systems and code requirements (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, equipment repair).
• Strong leadership, communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to operate a community vehicle (bus).

Responsibilities

• Repair and oversee maintenance of equipment and facilities.
• Track and respond to work orders using TELS; obtain TELS Master Certification within 90 days.
• Maintain grounds, including exterior repairs, lawn care, and snow removal coordination.
• Maintain and clean all interior spaces including offices and common areas.
• Oversee the housekeeping department and supply management.
• Prepare apartments for resident move-ins (painting, carpet, vinyl, ceiling fans).
• Train staff on operations, emergency procedures, and maintenance protocols.
• Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and environmental concerns.
• Inspect apartments for hazards; schedule preventative maintenance and QA records.
• Travel locally to support other communities as needed; drive community vehicle when required.
