Job summary

The Ivy at Berkeley, managed by Oakmont Management Group, seeks an Executive Director RCFE to lead daily operations at our premier senior living community in California. You will hire, coach, and supervise staff, ensure occupancy and budget targets, and maintain regulatory compliance with a focus on resident well-being.

The role emphasizes financial stewardship, community representation, and delivering an excellent resident experience across pathways in care management and dementia services.

Qualifications

• Completion of two (2) years of college and at least three (3) years of experience providing residential care to the elderly, or equivalent education and experience as approved by the Department of Social Services.
• A valid California Residential Care Facility for the Elderly Certification or Licensed Nursing Home Executive Director
• Prefer five (5) years of experience supervising and managing employees
• Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Knowledge of and/or ability to learn the theory and practice of assisted living and dementia care
• Able to work with seniors and interact with cognitively impaired individuals
• Able to adapt to change and prioritize tasks
• Able to analyze and solve problems
• Able to read budgets and financial reports
• Able to communicate complex ideas to a wide audience

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the community
• Hire, evaluate, coordinate, monitor performance, schedule, and supervise staff
• Achieve and maintain budgeted occupancy and budgetary compliance
• Represent the property to the community and Corporation
• Create a supportive and enjoyable lifestyle for residents
