Job summary

Lake Port Square, an upscale senior living community on Lake Harris in Florida, is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to oversee food preparation, dietary standards, and overall kitchen operations for residents and Health Center dining rooms.

The role requires strong leadership, menu development, staff training, and ensuring compliance with all health regulations while maintaining high-quality service in a hospitality-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of executive chef or sous chef experience in a hotel, restaurant, club, or similar institution.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; strong math and measurement knowledge.
• Post-secondary courses in restaurant management or nutrition; degree or certificate preferred.
• ServSafe certification is required.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Supervise kitchen staff across shifts, with staffing, scheduling, counseling, and evaluation.
• Develop menus and ensure high-quality food service for residents and Health Center dining rooms.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal health standards and staff training in safety procedures.
• Provide on-the-job training and education for kitchen personnel.
