Job summary

The Landings of Lake Gaston is seeking a Life Enrichment Coordinator to design and run a dynamic activities calendar for our residents, emphasizing social engagement, cognitive stimulation, and meaningful daily experiences.

In this role you will develop person-centered programs, partner with families and staff, and adapt activities for memory care residents while coordinating volunteers and community partnerships to enhance overall well-being.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years planning and facilitating activities in a senior living, healthcare, or recreational setting.
• Experience working with individuals with dementia preferred.
• Strong creativity and excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute a wide range of activities, events, and outings; develop monthly calendars.
• Incorporate physical, cognitive, social, creative, spiritual, and recreational activities for holistic well-being.
• Build relationships with residents to ensure meaningful, inclusive programs.
• Design memory care activities focusing on cognitive stimulation and memory support.
• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers; establish partnerships with local organizations.
• Organize special events and intergenerational activities for residents and families.
• Maintain records of participation and schedules; ensure compliance with state regulations.
