Job summary

The Landings of Lake Gaston seeks a Life Enrichment Coordinator to design and execute a vibrant activity calendar for residents, ensuring programs are person-centered and engaging. You will collaborate with residents, families, and staff to create meaningful experiences that enhance daily life.

You will develop diverse programs across physical, cognitive, social, and creative domains, including memory care activities, while coordinating volunteers and community partnerships to enrich programming.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, Gerontology, Social Work, or related field preferred.
• Certified Activity Director (ADC) or Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) is a plus; must obtain within 9 months.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience planning and facilitating activities in a senior living/healthcare/recreational setting.
• Experience with residents with dementia or cognitive impairments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a dynamic calendar of activities and events for residents.
• Incorporate physical, cognitive, social, creative, spiritual, and recreational activities.
• Develop monthly activity calendars aligned with residents’ preferences.
