Job summary
Cedar Crest Village by Erickson Senior Living in Pompton Plains, NJ, is seeking an EMT/EMR to join our Security & Emergency Services team. You’ll patrol the property, support gatehouse staffing, respond to medical and security calls, and document incidents with our online system.
This full-time role requires a valid driver’s license, CPR for Healthcare Providers, EMR (or higher) certification, and a commitment to resident safety and compassionate care in a vibrant continuing care community.
Qualifications
- EMT/EMR experience is preferred.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license.
- Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification.
- EMR certification or higher is acceptable; new hires must obtain EMR within 30 days.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular patrols of the property and provide relief staffing for the gatehouse.
- Respond to emergency and routine calls for service and enforce traffic and parking regulations.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide efficient care using basic interventions.
- Complete thorough incident reports using the online report system.
- Assist with security and safety operations and coordinate with local police, fire, and EMS when needed.
