Job summary

Jaybird Senior Living in Manning, IA seeks a Senior Living Director of Nursing (LPN or RN) to partner with the Community Director and deliver exceptional care. This Healthcare Coordinator (LPN) oversees care programs, trains Resident Assistants, coordinates staff, and ensures regulatory compliance.

You will lead staff training, manage EHRs, and monitor medication administration while maintaining budget compliance and a strong emphasis on resident safety and quality of life.

Qualifications

• LPN in good standing with the state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in senior living or long-term care.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and occasional overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents' needs and develop individualized service plans.
• Maintain accurate Electronic Health Records (EHR) and monitor medication administration.
• Notify healthcare providers and families of resident health changes.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate healthcare staff.
• Conduct staff in-services and ongoing training.
• Manage inventory of nursing supplies and equipment.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment and safe handling of hazardous materials.
• Provide 24/7 on-site coverage for emergencies and urgent resident needs.
• Document incidents and follow up as required.
