Job summary

Maplewood Senior Living in Norwalk, CT, is seeking a part-time Dining Room Server to join our dining team. The role focuses on delivering a high-quality resident and guest dining experience, setting up and clearing dining spaces, and assisting during meal service under the supervision of culinary leadership.

The job emphasizes engagement with residents, proper menu knowledge, and maintaining a welcoming dining environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience and passion in working with seniors.
• Experience working in assisted living or another long-term care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides outstanding customer experience for residents and their visitors.
• Assists with meal service under supervision of the Chef, Dining Room Manager, and/or Culinary Services Director.
• Understands the daily menu and can answer questions related to the menu.
• Keeps snack areas stocked and tidy and ensures dining rooms are clean and well arranged.
• Engages with tours and the sales team to create a positive first impression.
• Completes monthly in-service education hours as required by regulations and policies.
