Job summary

Maplewood Senior Living is seeking a part-time Dining Room Server in Norwalk, CT. The role focuses on delivering an outstanding dining experience for residents and guests, assisting with setup, service, and cleanup, and supporting a welcoming atmosphere in the dining room.

You will work closely with the culinary team, understand daily menus, stock and tidy dining areas, and help ensure a smooth service flow for each meal.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience and passion in working with seniors.
• Experience in assisted living or another long-term care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer experience for residents and their loved ones and other visitors.
• Ensure residents are comfortable, engaged, and catered to in the dining rooms.
• Assist with meal service under supervision of the Chef, Dining Room Manager, or Culinary Services Director.
• Understand the daily menu and how food is prepared and answer questions about the menu.
• Keep snack areas stocked and tidy.
• Keep dining rooms clean and arranged for residents.
• Engage with tours and the sales team to create a positive first impression.
• Develop good rapport with teammates across departments to ensure high-quality dining experiences.
