Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; food management course preferred.
• Experience: minimum three years in food service; at least one year supervisory.
• Certificates/Licenses: Current ServSafe certificate.
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: knowledge of dining service environment; ability to communicate professionally; experience with buffet catering; working knowledge of kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living to residents, visitors, co-workers and the surrounding community.
• Oversee the service of meals to residents in the dining room, function rooms and other designated areas of service.
• Oversees the cleanliness, preparation, training and staffing of the dining room.
• Assist the Culinary Services Director to assure efficient operation of the culinary service department.
• Communicates with the Executive Director and culinary and attends meetings as requested.
• Maintains the proper order of service for all meals.
• Greets residents during dinner and supper service observing dining room schedule for each meal period.
• Assists residents to table and fulfills seating needs as requested.
• Assists with scheduling associates, planning events and ordering supplies.
• Interviews, hires, counsels and terminates dining room personnel in accordance with company policy and guidelines.
• Monitors and maintains inventories of items in the dining room and communicates needs to replenish inventory.
