Job summary

Monarch Communities is seeking a Full Time Dining Room Manager at Brandywine Living in Mahwah, NJ. The role oversees dining room operations, greets residents, seats guests, and coordinates servers to ensure a pleasant dining experience.

You will supervise servers, manage scheduling, and ensure regulatory compliance and program support, while maintaining high service standards for our senior residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred/GED accepted.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in fine dining hospitality and/or full service senior living.
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills.
• Experience working with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat residents and guests, balance server capacity.
• Learn and retain residents’ names, special requests, and dietary restrictions.
• Ensure dining room is set up and supplies are ready for service.
• Monitor service and assist with serving residents as needed.
• Monitor dining staff performance; provide coaching as needed.
• Schedule dining associates according to staffing plan.
• Supervise dining programs such as meals, events, and guest meals.
• Ensure residents are accounted for during meals and attendance is documented.
• Monitor inventory and notify the Dining Services Director of orders.
• Participate in trainings and in-service sessions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and community policies.
