Job summary

Grand Village Assisted Living and Memory Care is seeking a part-time dining service assistant for 6am-2pm and 11am-7pm shifts. You will prepare meals, ensure dietary needs are met, and maintain a high standard of hospitality in a senior living environment.

The role requires a high school diploma/GED and at least six months of scratch-cooking experience in a commercial kitchen. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for resident and staff interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED is required.
• Six months of experience with cooking and baking from scratch in a commercial setting is preferred.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work with minimal supervision
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Professional telephone etiquette and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals based on pre-planned menus.
• Maintain safety and sanitation standards.
• Ensure pleasing plate presentation for all meals.
• Assist with inventory and supplies in kitchenettes.
• Provide high hospitality standards during dining room service.
• Promote positive relationships with residents, staff and visitors.
• Perform other duties as requested.
