Job summary

Absaroka Senior Living Center in Cody, Wyoming is seeking a dependable, friendly Dietary Aide to join our dining services team. You will assist with meal service, dining room prep, basic food prep, dishwashing, sanitation, and kitchen support to provide residents with a welcoming dining experience.

Prior food service or senior living experience is welcome but not required. We emphasize learning, teamwork, and a respectful, resident-focused approach in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing and setting up the dining room before meals
• Serve meals, beverages, snacks, and other food items to residents
• Assist with basic food preparation and portioning as directed by the cook or Dietary Manager
• Prepare and deliver resident meal trays as assigned
• Follow resident diet instructions, food preferences, and meal service requirements
• Provide friendly, respectful, and attentive service to residents during meals
• Clear tables and collect dishes and meal trays following service
• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, trays, and kitchen equipment
• Clean and sanitize tables, counters, food preparation areas, dining areas, and assigned kitchen spaces
• Sweep, mop, and maintain clean floors throughout dietary and dining areas
• Assist with stocking, organizing, and rotating food and dietary supplies
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, infection prevention, and food safety procedures
• Assist with maintaining appropriate food temperatures and safe food storage practices
• Properly dispose of food waste and trash
• Communicate resident food preferences or dining concerns to the appropriate team member
• Assist with special meals, resident celebrations, activities, and community events as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining environment
• Perform additional dietary duties as assigned

Position Overview

Absaroka Senior Living Center is seeking a dependable, friendly, and service-oriented Dietary Aide to join our dining services team.

As a Dietary Aide, you will assist with meal service, dining room preparation, basic food preparation, dishwashing, sanitation, and kitchen support. You will work alongside cooks and other dietary team members to provide residents with an enjoyable, safe, and welcoming dining experience.

This is a great opportunity for someone interested in food service, hospitality, senior living, or healthcare. Previous experience is welcomed but not required.
