Job summary

Arete at Gilman Grove in Oregon City seeks a Culinary Services Director to oversee all dining operations in an assisted living and memory care community. You will lead kitchen staff, plan menus, manage budgets, ensure food safety, and tailor meals for residents with dietary needs.

This role requires 3+ years in foodservice management, strong leadership and budgeting skills, and familiarity with HIPAA and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in foodservice operations management
• Experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality preferred
• CDM certification or equivalent is a plus

Responsibilities

• Develop rotating menus balancing resident preferences with nutrition
• Adapt recipes for modified diets and allergies
• Manage budgets including food, supply and labor
• Oversee daily culinary department operations and staffing
• Ensure sanitation, HACCP, and health-code compliance
• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate culinary staff
• Coordinate resident meals, events, and catering
• Engage with residents and families to gather feedback
