Job summary

Senior Solutions At Home, Inc. is seeking a dedicated kitchen staff member to prepare and serve daily meals for residents and guests at Faribault Senior Living. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service and adherence to food safety standards.

Responsibilities include receiving supplies, producing meals per the weekly menu, maintaining hygiene, and coordinating with the Chef Supervisor and Assisted Living Director to ensure smooth service and quality presentations.

• Must be mature and emotionally stable using calm and kind tone of voice, remaining calm in difficult or unusual circumstances.
• Must be able to prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently, staying on task.

• Must work as a team member with other personnel, Chef Supervisor and Assisted Living Director.

Responsibilities

• Receive and examine foodstuffs and supplies for quality and quantity.
• Place foodstuffs and supplies in dry storage, refrigerator, cooler and/or freezer to ensure food safety.
• Properly label and date storage containers.
• Record food and supply shortages.
• Be familiar with weekly menu and pull food as needed.
• Prepare meals according to daily meal census and adjust recipes as needed.
• Practice strict personal hygiene and monitor time/temperature of food daily.
• Maintain high quality food standards and plate meals attractively.
• Clean and sanitize work areas and keep an organized workspace.
• Oversee wait staff and coordinate with Chef Supervisor for scheduling.
• Demonstrate knowledge of food-borne disease prevention and Minnesota Food Code.
