Job summary

The Pennant Group, Inc. is seeking a Cook for our senior living community to provide friendly, efficient service to residents and staff, following recipes and maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

You will order and rotate stock with the Food Service Director, read recipes, and prepare breakfast, lunch or dinner as assigned while meeting resident dining expectations. Minimum qualifications include at least one year of cooking experience (including short order) and Serv-Safe certification

• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a team.
• Willingness to learn new food preparation techniques and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient, timely, and friendly service to all residents and staff.
• Maintains proper sanitation and safety procedures and high quality food preparation and presentation.
• Orders, receives, and rotates stock in conjunction with the Food Service Director.
• Reads and follows recipes to ensure consistency of the product.
• Prepares and serves food items for breakfast, lunch or dinner as assigned.
• Assists with meeting or exceeding resident dining expectations.
