Job summary

Forefront is seeking a Cook to join our healthcare-focused kitchen team in Billings, MT. You will prepare meals for residents, families, and staff following standardized recipes, safety guidelines, and established temperature controls to ensure patient and employee well-being.

The role requires attention to quality, reliability, and collaboration with the Chef Manager and Director. Full-time employment includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations.
• Follow standardized recipes and maintain temperature controls.
• Assist in preparation of resident, family, and employee meals.

Responsibilities

• Follows standardized recipes, portioning, menu extensions, and presentation standards.
• Completes and utilizes daily production worksheets and waste log sheets.
• Tastes completed meals to ensure quality standards.
• Monitor temperature of hot and cold foods to meet established temperature goals.
• Inspects delivered food products and supplies as needed in the absence of leadership.
• Supervise and assist in storage of supplies and food products.
• Notify Chef Manager or Director of supplies or equipment needs.
• Report equipment breakdowns and unsafe conditions to the Chef Manager or Director.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures as evidenced by audits.
• Perform other department duties as assigned.
• Attends department meetings as required.
• Demonstrates accountability for personal/professional growth and any required certifications/licenses.
