The Summit of Germantown, part of Grace Management, Inc., seeks a Cook to provide wholesome, nutritious meals for residents, reporting to the Dining Services Director. The role emphasizes quality ingredients, proper portioning, and safety in a busy kitchen.

Essential duties include preparing and serving meals, monitoring temperatures, proper labeling and storage, and collaborating with a caring team. On-site work with full-time benefits supports career growth in a senior living community.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years cooking experience, preferably within healthcare or hospitality.
• Serv-Safe Certification preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Must pass drug testing and criminal background check on hire and request.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve all food items using high quality ingredients and correct portions.
• Record and monitor food temperatures during storage, preparation, cooking, and serving.
• Label, date, and properly store all foods; monitor temperatures of refrigerators and freezers.
• Control overproduction and waste of all food items.
• Follow safety procedures; maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen.
• Responsible for storage of items received from vendors and equipment safety.
